Did you enjoy reading the draft version of this story? If so please leave a comment below, I would love to read it. I am currently editing several stories ready for publishing... this is one of them so your feedback is appreciated. :)
Victoria leads a simple life. She owns a Tea Shop in a small English village where the locals help when it is busy. When Edward arrives on a very busy day and offers his assistance she accepts. Not only is he delightful, handsome and charming but he is the best waiter she has ever had. It is obvious from his clothing and demeanour that Edward is not short of money or manners. Victoria is in for quite a shock when she finds out more about this hypnotic stranger who seems to have everyone in a trance. Her life was about to become complicated... very complicated.
Who was he? Why did his mother object so vehemently to a friendship between them? And why couldn't she get him out of her mind, dreams... and fantasies.
I loved it! It was one of the very first books I read on wattpad and it got me hooked on your writing. You have a way with making things very real rather than impossibly perfect. I think the one part that got stuck in my mind is I think when Edward was sick and Victoria threw a tantrum and threw the lot of them out. He got grumpy and it just made them all really relatable, instead of a bunch of perfect people who were either always gracious or always flawless. It was honestly really refreshing =]
ReplyDeletelove, love, LOVE it! it triggered a voracious reading of of your books all of the Christmas holidays. I access wattpad for escape reading so I do not read anything unless it is tagged completed. so you can imagine my frustration when I read Mae Day (marked completed) and then was tossed onto Mae Day 2 which I presume is still a long way to go. as your characters say, Urgh!
